Empire in Rebellion
An urgent pitch dominates this quarter. Musicians play in front of shops to bring in patrons, while hawkers cry out their wares.
The pace is quick and bright, and there are foreigners at least every other block. There’s a home between hope and greed, smells of food, perfume and people, mixed with all sorts of goods.
The outsides of the homes ensure they do not upset the samurai, but inside many of the restaurants, shops, and inns, there are places that are as nice as any noble’s homes.
